My Experience with the Ti-Double 450 Anodized Mug By Snow Peak
Overall I have had great experiences with Snow Peak gear, and in my younger years, my normal dishes were a set of snow peak titanium camp dishes! That might seem a little crazy to some, but my love of gear runs through my veins and it just made sense with how much I was camping. It's been a decade since those times, but I still find myself using Snow Peak titanium pieces often and most of those pieces are from my kitchen set. They all still look brand new.
I was stoked to get my hands on this beautiful Ti-Double 450 Anodized Mug by Snow Peak, after dreaming about buying one for many years. I don't know why I never bought one, aside from the hefty price tag. It's nearly double the price than other perfectly wonderful titanium camp mugs.
So what are my thoughts? Well, I've used it twice for coffee at camp and I love it. It's double wall titanium, so does a good job at keeping coffee or tea hot. The handles fold away, which is nice for stashing it in your backpack. It feels good in the hand and sips well. But best of all is the beautiful color.
Anodized Titanium is gorgeous. Period. And this mug is available in blue, green or purple. I got the green. It's vibrant and makes me incredibly happy. And when it comes to gear, there really are not too many items you can get that simply bring joy by being aesthetically lovely. So I appreciate that.
Is this mug something magical that does anything unique? Not really. It's well made from high quality material. It's good looking. It has a lifetime warranty. But many camp mugs can boast the same. What the Ti-Double 450 Anodized Mug by Snow Peak has that other camp mugs don't is that is gorgeous. I think depending on where you're at with gear and your kit, that makes it worth picking up.
